As offshore oil, gas and energy exploration/production activities evolve and become more complex, EMAS is committed to raising the benchmark industry-wide in terms of safety and operational excellence. We recently launched EMAS Academy, a $10 million maritime training institute dedicated to advancing safety, operational standards and equipping our offshore and onshore personnel with the specialized skills required to execute intricate offshore operations. The Academy offers our maritime professionals a meticulously structured curriculum to increase operational efficiency while enhancing the ability to safeguard lives, protect assets and prevent harm to the environment. We designed our programs to keep our personnel up-to-date with the latest technology and operational requirements and to ensure that our staff exceeds the highest international standards. Our Dynamic Positioning courses have been fully certified by the Nautical Institute in the UK and our marine crew resource management program has been accredited by the Oxford Aviation Academy.

Simulator

We use state-of-the-art DP simulator technology to create holistic, realistic and operationally relevant training as a part of our integral best practices. The EMAS Academy gives our personnel the chance to hone their skills in a large array of operational environments and prepares them to handle even the most trying conditions so that they can deliver optimum performance at sea. Ultimately, this minimizes risk and expedites successful offshore projects.

Professional Instruction

EMAS Academy draws its instructional staff from a core group of sea going personnel. Our staff undergo a rigorous selection process and training to complement their already impressive operational track record. At the end of their instructional semester, our instructors return to their fleet and take their enhanced skills back to the workplace. This is one of the many way EMAS ensures our commitment to maritime excellence and continuous process improvement.
