Unique facilities for testing subsea equipment

  • Two concrete base
  • slabs of 20 000 m2 /14 m water depth
  • and 20 000 m2 / 9.6 m water depth.

The 14 m base slab is perfect for shallow-water and cool-down tests before offshore installation. Equipment can be installed on the seabed by a floating crane vessel or mobile crane. These operations can be supervised from a modern office unit (housing nine people) on the quay. ROV spread can be placed on the quay, with data from the ROV cameras transmitted wirelessly to your company HQ. The ingenious pencil buoy method for heavy lifting and installation at sea This system is perfect for subsea modules to be installed offshore. It handles components such as Xmas trees weighing up to 250 tonnes. Avoiding the need to load units on a ship for transport is an important system advantage. Everything is simply towed under water. During towing the pencil buoy functions as lifting point thereby relieving the module of stress. The method also offers greater flexibility regarding weather conditions during operations.
